HOW TO APPLY –SELF- SPONSORED STUDENTS (TRY AND USE A LAPTOP OR PC)

1. Go to COI student portal https://portal.coi.ac.ke, Click REGISTER TO APPLY(Top right-hand corner)
2. Register using your personal email (not company email).
3. An email will be sent to verify your account. Reset the password.
4. On the registration portal, enter your biodata, upload a passport photo NOT A SELFIE in (jpg/jpeg format) and upload your ID and certificates in pdf format. The documents should be below 2MBs in size. Give them your unique name.
5. Select the Course you want to take.(Eg. JANUARY-2026 DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE[Module 1].
6. Select the Sponsor (SELF, GUARDIAN,)
7. Select Training Station
8. Select Exam Centre
9. Select Units, time of study, and check the box for having read terms and conditions.

• You shall be required to pay an application fee of Kes. 1000 via MPESA ONLY.
• Once you are admitted, you will receive an admission letter with your admission number on your email. you will be enrolled only after paying the required fee.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Application fee is not refundable.  If you make an error, do not apply again, as this will be charged again. contact the admissions office for assistance through admissions@coi.ac.ke and indicate specifically where you are getting a challenge.(describe the challenge or screenshot)

 

HOW TO APPLY –COMPANY SPONSORED STUDENTS (TRY AND USE A LAPTOP OR PC)

1. Go to COI student portal https://portal.coi.ac.ke, Click REGISTER TO APPLY (Top right-hand corner)
2. Register using your personal email (not company email).
3. An email will be sent to verify your account. Reset the password. (Sometimes, the email can go to junk or promotional folder in your email)
4. On the registration portal, enter your biodata, upload a passport photo NOT A SELFIE in (jpg/jpeg format) and upload your ID and certificates in pdf format. The documents should be below 2MBs in size. Give them your unique name.
5. Select the Course you want to take.(Eg. JANUARY-2026 DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE [Module 1].
6. Select the Sponsor (COMPANY), then select your sponsoring Company
7. Select Training Station
8. Select Exam Centre
9. Company sponsored students are required to input a Registration Token which is distributed by their respective sponsor company

• Select Units, time of study, and check the box for having read terms and conditions.
• Once you are admitted and enrolled, you will receive an admission letter with your admission number on your email.
• The Sponsoring company shall then settle your fees before sitting for CAT 1.
